I have a major case of spring fever! I'm sure others can relate to these sentiments. I am nearly crawling out of my skin to see the sun and actually feel it's warmth.
These sunny (cold) days we have been experiencing are toying with my emotions, along with my wardrobe common sense. I long to wear flip flops, bright colors and flowy, light fabric.
I even caught myself trying on all my bathing suits the other day...what the heck?...as if I'll be wearing one anytime soon...
Bring on spring!!
* getting together with family
* Valentine's date night
* good talks with friends
* tapioca pudding
* going running with my little doggy companion
* a weekend getaway on the horizon
We had a fun get-together with a few cousins (the ones who were able to make it) to say good bye to Katherine and Mark who are moving to Chicago in a few weeks. I have always been pretty close to my cousins, but with all of us growing up and getting married and such, I tend to see them less and less. Katherine is my mom's sister Margot's daugher, and Bill is my mom's twin sister Kate's son. It was fun to hang out and catch up with those who were there.Mark, Kat, me and ChrisMark, Kat, Lucy and BillThe girls: Kat, Lucy, Aunt Kate, and meThe other girls: Ruby and the Park's dog Sadie.I may sound like a dork, but these dogs were so cute together I couldn't get enough of watching them play. It was hilarious because I took about 20 pictures trying to capture the two of them looking at me-each picture shows Ruby posing perfectly for the camera, while Sadie would not calm down. This was the best I got.I insisted that we get a "family photo" of me Chris and Ruby, because we have never taken one and each shot we got features me cheesing it up and Chris refusing to smile...oh well. He thinks pictures aren't worth taking unless you are doing something cool in them, while I tend to get a little camera happy.
I guess it's okay to post this late, since Chris and I aren't celebrating until today. I just wanted to say that I hope you all had a good one, whether you have a special valentine or not...I'm in charge of planning V day this year and I hope I don't disappoint too much. I'm not the world's greatest event planner...But I do want to say that I'm sincerely grateful for my valentine, whose optimism, dedication (to me, our families, and all he does),and downright hilarity light up my life each day.Happy Belated Valentine's Day!I LOVE you!
Some of you may have seen this, but I found this crazy article and had to post about it. It absolutely weirds me out!!
Check it out: here
I stared at it for like 10 minutes and could only see her going clockwise, then I looked away and looked back again and she was going counterclockwise...
At first I thought it was timed to change directions periodically until I had Chris come over and he could only see counterclockwise, while I could only see clockwise!!
How is it possible that we are looking at the same thing-yet seeing something completely different??
Brains are crazy, fantastic things!
Which way does she spin for you?
I am actually not too proud to pay homage to Diet Coke with this picture, since it is my one vice that I am trying (kind of) to rid myself of...but I do love the stuff so here goes...
* Diet Coke from the fountain, with just the right amount of ice
* Reconnecting with some Delta Gamma pledge sisters...it was so fun to see you all!!
* Date night to the temple
* The way Ruby "talks" to me when she wants to go on a walk
* Dinner and a movie with friends
* Somehow not getting the nasty flu bug while nursing my poor husband back to health (cross my fingers)
