Think Pink!!!

Much to my surprise we are having a little girl!! We couldn't be happier!! We also got good news at our ultrasound that everything looks normal. It was an incredible experience to see the baby moving in there--we watched her do a complete summersault! I also felt the first fluttering of movement, probably because of all the poking and prodding. She is a very active little thing and was quite uncooperative when they tried to get pictures of her heart. Both the ultrasound tech and the doctor said we have a very mischievous baby. I wonder if that's any indication of her future personality?
We can't wait to meet our baby girl!!

I have been so sad about the end of summer that I forgot how much I love fall.

A few things I love:

*The crisp feeling in the air
*The smell
*The changing leaves
*Going on drives to see the leaves
*Wearing sweaters and jackets
*Drinking hot cider
*Halloween candy hitting the shelves
*Eating lots of soup
*Knowing that the holidays are on their way!

Home Sweet Home!

Well, our short three months in Michigan have come to an end and we are thrilled to be back in SLC! The first thing Chris wanted to do (besides see family and friends) was mountain bike, so he has been on three rides already...

and the first thing I wanted to do was eat at my much missed Cafe Rio, which I took care of yesterday...and will probably take care of again later this week...

We missed our friends and family so much and we can't wait to catch up!!

*Wearing flip flops (perhaps a bit prematurely, but still doable)
*Watching Ruby play with “cousins” Hannah and Hank

I am actually not too proud to pay homage to Diet Coke with this picture, since it is my one vice that I am trying (kind of) to rid myself of...but I do love the stuff so here goes...
* Diet Coke from the fountain, with just the right amount of ice
* Reconnecting with some Delta Gamma pledge sisters...it was so fun to see you all!!
* Date night to the temple
* The way Ruby "talks" to me when she wants to go on a walk
* Dinner and a movie with friends
* Somehow not getting the nasty flu bug while nursing my poor husband back to health (cross my fingers)

* Waking up to 13+ inches of snow!!
* Not being intimidated by skiing in massive amounts of powder for the first time, thanks to these bad boys-too bad they were only rentals.
* Ruby showing signs that the obedience training class is paying off
* Getting Chris' MRI back and finding out he won't need knee surgery
* Having dinner ready when Chris got home from school, for once
* Having a job I quite enjoy...and then forgetting all about work once I get home
* The one kind driver who let me pull in front of her when I was running extremely late
* Getting an email from an old friend
